How To Save A Life

The Edmonton Oilers are breaking my heart. They do well one game, and poorly the next. Sad.

Also, Joy buys the best presents. Even when it is last minute. Mad skills.

I started dog walking this week. Let me tell you, there are some adorable canines in the Chicago area. I am probably going to be regularly walking a giant English Mastiff. It really can't get any better than that. Yeah buddy.

If, by chance, you aren't doing anything on February the 24th, make your way to the Moody Bible Institute and watch one of the greatest Lip Sync performances.....of your LIFE!

*************

And also, saddest thing of the day is when you find a webcomic you like, start to look at a couple of the entires, and then spend an hour looking at every single comic that the site has. so sad.

Things you should do...

Alright, so update on my life:

- Looking into youth pastor job at church in Wheaton. Church looks good, and it looks like they like me. Good start

- School is good. and by good I mean I have little work to do right now. Just some big projects that loom in the horizon.....which I don't need to do yet

- Distance to the wedding is indirectly correlated (I did look up the definition to that word to make sure I was using it correctly) to my excitement about being married. i.e. the less time between now and wedding means more excitement.

- The Moody Lip Sync Competition is coming up on February 24th, and you should all come because my act is going to rock like what.

- I really should read more. And write more (or edit and add to what i have already written...) but I procrastinate

Leading us to today's funny link

That's right, the University of Calgary (Go Alberta!) has a website and even an equation on procrastination. It is called 'motivational research.' I love it

Myspace is not smart

So, while looking at my myspace, i notice an ad which read:

"You should be Flirting"

No, myspace, you obviously don't know Joy, or understand the relationship I am in. I certainly, should not be flirting.

Myspace is just so wrong sometimes....

Events of my life

A couple big things have happened in the last couple days.

1. Stepped on a rat. Yes, I was walking in a dark area near an apartment building, and a rat ran underneath my foot. The thing must have been roughly 42 pounds and 2 feet in circumference. No matter how big it was, the cruching blow of my stride made it squeal, and ran away for its safety. I didn't want to kill it if we should have started to fight.....

2. American Citizenship. Yes, I too have joined many before me in renouncing former allegiences in order to join this nation. watch out political system; Andrew is gonna vote! WHAT NOW!

3. Tomorrow I interview with a pastor at a church out in the burbs. We shall see how he feels about me tomorrow (and how I feel about him). In all seriousness, any and all prayers would be appreaciated, because I am pretty anxious about the whole deal. What with the career business and all....

Other than that, a semester with only nine credit hours has been treating me well. Lots of free time to waste, and sadly I waste it like a champ. let's hope I get productive soon...
